You know, NOT the fabulous over the top stuff you wear to the clubs or to especially freak out your family, but the usual day to day stuff that you wear while at work or out running errands. For me, it's a long black skirt, black boots and usually a black turtleneck. In the summer it's likely to be a long black skirt, black sandals and a black summer weight blouse. What's the "daily uniform" for you?

Re: What's your daily goth uniform?
Fri, December 29, 2006 - 10:55 AMI tend to be on the punk/Goth, angry-Goth side when I go out ( although sometimes I do almost Victorian ;)). Now, for my daily wear, I like long sleeved black tees, the nice ones with a pretty V-neck, and bell sleeves, which give me a mild witchy air without being too over-the-top. That and black sweaters, fitted leather jackets, black jeans and boots, some accesories (a pretty necklace/pendant or maybe a scarf..) and I'm all set :) -

Re: What's your daily goth uniform?
Fri, December 29, 2006 - 12:55 PMHmmm, let's see. It's not easy, you're right. To be honest, I stock up when I go to France :) I also got some at Nordstrom last spring. I don't know if they still have them the brand is Michael Stars, very good quality, and they were on sale.
You may find some of that stuff, sort of dark hippy, at Buffalo Exchange or Red light. Even if it's purple or dark red I'd weard them and looks very Gothy. -

Re: What's your daily goth uniform?
Sun, January 7, 2007 - 5:29 PMIm sort of a simple, subtile sort of guy, aesthetically, and I prefer to not buy alot of new clothes for ethical/political reasons.
So usually i wear black cargo pants, or a black and gold flowy skirt.and combat boots on the bottom half. For the top, depending on the season its a black tight tanktop, a black longsleeve( some plain, some with knotwork running animal paerns in white, and some with wax resist tribal paterns or other stuff bleached into them.I also wear a shittonne of button down black dresshirts.I often also wear a black leather cap or a bandanna as well.

Re: What's your daily goth uniform?
Thu, March 22, 2007 - 11:05 AMI try to look as good as I can, because it perks me up... I wear either my knee hi boots, a pair of Mary Janes, or if it is really hot (which does happen here) then I have a pair of sandals that are ok. I really don't feel that there is too much of goth summer foot wear out there... I usually wear striped socks or something funky like that... I wear skirts and shirts alot, but I also wear dresses and pants/shorts but not as often... I usually am toting some crazy bag ( right now i am in love with my new emily strange bag)... I am a newbie sewer, so I try to wear something I sewed as often as I can... Usually my hair is in braids... :)

Re: What's your daily goth uniform?
Thu, January 3, 2008 - 10:09 AMI work as the librarian at a local elementary school, and my contract stipulates that I must "model high standards in dress and behavior" for our students, so I have to limit my expression through dress to a sort-of "corporate goth" look. I love pencil skirts and well-fitted blouses, especially with unexpected details, like corseting, tiny buttons, hooks-and-eyes, or black-on-black trim. My sister makes fun of me and my closet full of black blouses and skirts, insisting that it all looks too much alike, but everything is subtly different. I like to push the envelope a little once in a while, perhaps by wearing something like bondage pants (without the clip-on straps, because it would spark yet another discussion with my boss about what she feels constitutes "unprofessional" dress). If I go overboard, it will definitely be in the shoes category, although I proudly wear my tongue bar and a small nose ring and have stretched my earlobes to a 6g. I also have never made an effort to cover my one visible tattoo, which is a little bracelet with my daughter's name. -

Re: What's your daily goth uniform?
Wed, February 13, 2008 - 4:53 PMi since the dress code in my office allows me some leeway, i generally go for something of a low-maintenance preppy-goth fusion...it's a more versatile look during the brief excuse we have for winter in phoenix, but i can manage a few interesting touches even when it's hot out.
plenty of black pants, black dress shirts and black polo shirts and plenty of black shirts with red or purple or gray accents. i grow my nails out and file them to points, which i then paint black...super polished combat boots or good black dress shoes...corporate vampire, only it's a cubicle instead of a casket -
